This is the Home Page of Ceaseless Pursuit. I want to explain, as simply as I can, the heart and purpose of this website. You can find out more about me and my husband Frederick on the About page. In a nutshell I want this website to be an exploration of the concept and vision of House of Prayer with two basic thoughts.
Becoming a Corporate House of Prayer
There is something fascinationg happening across the earth, in many nations, and that is the heart to establish Houses of Prayer. These are essentially places for God’s people to gather and worship God – declaring who He is, our love for Him; and to listen to what is on His heart – His heartbeat – and praying it back to Him. They do not all follow exactly the same pattern, each one has its own flavour, but there are many core principles that are mostly shared.
Different Houses of Prayer have different emphases and different expressions but here are some of the most common connections:
- Gathering people to worship and prayer
- Desire for a place of unceasing worship and prayer
- A space for His Presence to dwell
- A space to simply connect with Him and adore Him
- All this, firstly, because He is worthy of it
- But also to change the spiritual atmosphere in our towns and nations – some may say revival
Becoming a Personal House of Prayer
This is something the Lord has been speaking to me about over recent years. It has been interesting to notice, from personal experience in the House of Prayer we led for a number of years, and observing many Houses of Prayer we have had connections with, that it is a slow process to build and to envision people. The Lord spoke into my heart in 2022 that the key is to encourage people to become personal houses of prayer. When we are seeking to work these spiritual disciplines of worship and listening to His heart, meditating on His Word and devotion etc, into our daily lives, our corporate expression will be much more authentic. These are the thoughts and ideas I hope to explore in my blog on this website.
